Valentines Day Flow

Special Wednesday Night Hustle & Flow with Lo Class

Class Descriptions

Russian Flow: Bodyweight Conditioning:

Bodyweight full body calisthenics training in circuit format covers basic ground technics and building strength, cardio endurance, agility and core balance. Accessible all levels modifications and self-pace format make it ideal for beginners or just those who want to practice more.

Extended full body calisthenics training in dance-like music synchronized format. Advanced technics and high intense pace provide a new level of demand on strength and cardiovascular endurance, as well as coordination, flexibility, balance and core strength.

Hustle & Flow with Lo:

The class is an hour long power vinyasa class that builds on traditional poses and postures mixed with free form movement, set to hip hop and R&B beats. Feel-good atmosphere to encourage exploration and connection to the mind and body. All levels and backgrounds welcome, GOOD VIBES only.

Baby Barre:

Baby Barre is a baby-wearing exercise class focusing on rebuilding strength, increasing flexibility and toning arms, legs, core and back post-pregnancy.

But this is more than just an exercise class. Baby Barre is a chance for moms to do something for themselves, while still bonding with their baby.  While the class is designed for moms, dads and caregivers, all are welcome – no baby required!

The only equipment you need is a secure baby carrier. All other equipment is provided, including mats, baby blankets and baby toys.

Pop Rox Dance:

Our primary goal is to encourage exploration and enjoyment within the world of dance. Our classes are divided by age and skill level. All semesters will begin by assessing overall class skill level, student needs, and collective goals. Each class will spend the semester building upon their existing dance skills, learning about music and dance through the ages and collaborating with fellow students. The semester will culminate with a professionally filmed, age-appropriate, music video for your dancer to take home!

Dance and music have the power to transcend so many things. The feeling that you get when a song from your childhood reappears in your life and makes your long-lost splits skills reappear is one that many people know. At Pop Rox Dance Studio, we aim to create those memories in our dance class for you and your kids to look back on.

While being trained in technique and appreciating the structure it provides, we feel that having a love for dance is the most important ingredient when taking a dance class. Our collaborative classes get students involved in the process of creating a performance - from picking the music to helping with the choreography.

Zumbini uses music and movement to promote cognitive, social, emotional, and motor skill development for the children in class, all while creating the ultimate bonding experience for them and their caregiver. Zumbini is offered in quarterly sessions during Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.

Classes are taught over an eight-week session. Each class will be forty-five minutes. Parents and/or care-givers need to visit to purchase the class. There will be a song book and CD included in the price. The book and CD are used to play music or read during mealtime, playtime, or anytime!

Creative Vinyasa:

An all levels class that  focuses on the basics of breath, postural alignment and developing a stronger mind/body connection. This unique class will lead students through sequences that develop flexibility by exploring range of movement, strength and core stability while maintaining playfulness throughout the class. Class is heated 80-85 degrees.

Yin Yoga:

Yin Yoga urges us to slow down and go deeper. Yin is a style of yoga in which floor-based postures are held for an extended period of time (5 minutes or more per pose is typical). In a fast paced vinyasa class we often miss connecting with the posture, breath and deeper muscles. Yin yoga applies emphasis to slowing down and holding passive stretch-like postures. This in turn opens the connective tissues of the body, tendons, fascia and ligaments with the aim of increasing circulation and flexibility.

Yin yoga gives students the time and space to cultivate a connection with the inner self. This style of yoga is the perfect complement to any active yoga practices or exercise, helping to increase flexibility, range of motion, and overall well being. In this class, the yin practice will be coupled with a meditation, as the two modalities serve to enhance one another. Yin yoga is suitable for all levels of practice.

Yoga Nidra:

Yoga Nidra is the art of conscious relaxation. Also known as Yogic Sleep, Nidra is a state of consciousness similar to the process of drifting off to sleep.  It is a state in which the body is completely relaxed, and the practitioner becomes systematically and increasingly aware of their inner world by following a set of verbal instructions. Yoga Nidra is a powerful practice where the body and mind are liberated from their tensions and anxiety, allowing deep healing to take place on the emotional, mental, and physical planes.

Yoga Nidra is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness.
